Compensation: Approximately $18.00 – $20.25 per hour. All individual pay rates are calculated based on the candidate’s experience and internal equity.Overview of Role:*Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.*Support patient care by ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and completeness of patient records, including the oversight of health record disclosures and the management of incoming health information.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes scanning and data entry of medical information.
  • Health Information Management
  • Prepares and sends medical records as requested.
  • Is proficient in pulling medical record data from outside organizational portals.
  • Manages and distributes faxes and other incoming health information.
  • Follows confidentiality procedures.
  • Assists clinical team with obtaining medical records.
  • Provide excellent customer service, cultural sensitivity, and confidentiality.
  • Follows appropriate telephone protocol for patients and employees.
  • Initiates, update and maintain electronic medical record.
  • Serves as HIPAA Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Maintains My Clinica Connection knowledge and demonstrates the ability to respond timely and appropriately.
  • Is knowledgeable of sending charts to and requesting charts from the medical records storage company.
  • Works Electronic Medical Record (EMR) tasks on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for entering pregnancy delivery information.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Experience: * High School diploma or GED preferred.

  • One year in a medical facility preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Must be proficient in both spoken and written English and Spanish.

  • Basic computer, math and phone skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
  • Sensitivity to low income, ethnic minority community is required.
  • Able to flourish in a team management system.
  • Reports to work on time and on a regular basis.
