You will work closely with the People and Culture team to support HR initiatives that align with our company’s values and objectives. This role offers the opportunity to develop and grow within the HR function, with potential to take on broader responsibilities and contribute to the evolution of our HR support model. This role is in office 4 days a week.Responsibilities
- Provide advice and guidance on HR policies, procedures, and practices.
- Assist with the HR inbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses to queries.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related matters within designated corporate functions.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues to resolve HR issues and escalate when necessary.
- Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a timely and effective manner.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment, fostering a culture of respect and cooperation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and practices.
- Participate in and support HR projects, initiatives, and employee experience projects.
- Support the HR team in delivering training and development programs, including mandatory training and ad hoc projects.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and specifications for open positions.
- Support recruitment efforts, including interviewing, candidate selection, onboarding, and orientation of new hires.
- Support the performance appraisal process, providing guidance to managers on goal setting and performance feedback.
- Assist in identifying development opportunities and career progression plans for employees.
- Encourage continuous learning and development among employees.
- Conduct regular audits to maintain HR data accuracy and integrity.
- Generate and assist in the preparation of HR metrics and reports to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Stay updated with employment law and HR best practices.
- Provide immigration support when employees have immigration needs, ensuring compliance with immigration laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification or working towards (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
- 2+ years of HR experience.
- Working knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a commitment to delivering exceptional HR support.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
