The Employee Labor and Relations Specialist will provide expertise and practical guidance on all Human Resource employee and labor relations-related issues. The selected candidate will need to be able to handle difficult conversations, mediate between different parties, and keep up to date on employment laws. The Employee Labor and Relations Specialist will also provide consultation to staff on all issues related to morale, diversity, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with laws, policies, and procedures. - ​Support the implementation of ER programs across St. Jude; Provide ER and consultation support on all issues related to morale, diversity, regulatory and/or compliance requirements.
- Assist in developing and generating queries and tracking tools to readily collect and interpret relevant data and metrics (i.e., turnover, exit interviews, complaints, grievances etc.).
- Assist in analyzing and educating key stakeholders on trends and findings from data and survey reports.
- Coordinate and/or deliver communication of employment related information to employees, managers, and other HR teams; Support core HR processes and projects.
- Conduct lower level thorough and well documented internal investigations for grievance matters and mediation meetings as required through process knowledge and current knowledge of human resources and employment laws, guidelines and trends.
Minimum Education and/or Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum Requirement: 2+ years of HR or related experience.
- Some experience/ working knowledge of principles and practices of ER systems and programs
- Experience performing complex reporting and analyses; Work Day experience, preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) including Google Sheets Slides, preferred
- Proven performance in earlier role
- Experience with Unions is preferred
- Experience with ADA is preferred
Compensation In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
