POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Licensing Manager at Chiquita, you will play a pivotal role in managing and expanding the licensing partnerships for our iconic brand. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify, negotiate, and execute licensing agreements that maximize brand exposure, drive revenue growth, and further expand Chiquita’s presence, globally. This role will be based in our corporate headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, FL and requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a passion for brand management.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify potential licensing opportunities that align with Chiquita’s brand values and strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential licensing partners, including manufacturers, retailers, and other brand licensors.
- Negotiate licensing agreements, ensuring favorable terms for Chiquita while maintaining strong partnerships with licensees.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Legal, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Procurement, to ensure alignment and compliance with brand guidelines and contractual obligations.
- Monitor and track performance metrics of licensing agreements, including sales revenue, royalty payments, and brand exposure.
- Stay informed about global industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to inform licensing strategies and initiatives.
- Develop and implement marketing and promotional campaigns to support licensed products and drive consumer engagement.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in licensing, brand management, or related roles within the consumer goods industry.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating and executing licensing agreements, preferably within the food and beverage or fresh produce sectors.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and identify strategic opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Creative thinker with a passion for branding and consumer marketing.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with licensing software and tools.
- Knowledge of intellectual property law, licensing regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ability to balance between detail orientation and high-level summaries while maintaining accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.
- Experience presenting and partnering with members of the Senior Leadership teams.
- Expert communicator across different audiences, with significant prior exposure to Senior Leaders
- Fully fluent in English and Spanish are required
- Any other language management will be considered a plus
- Domestic and International travel requirements may be up to 50%.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
- Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
- Candidate may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
- Candidate may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during normal workday
- Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
This position requires satisfactory passing of a drug test in accordance with Florida Statute ยง 440.102.
