- The Procurement-Supplier Manager must evaluate the vendors, subcontractors and negotiate contracts and ensure it follows the government regulations
- Must oversee the bidding process and contracts such as evaluate bids, recommend vendors, contractor solicitation etc.
- Evaluate order and bid documentation.
- Must attend periodic MWBE/SDVO/SBE Outreach Events to meet and greet potential and existing vendors and subcontractors.
- The Procurement-Supplier Manager must develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Must review and maintain all records of purchasing files, purchase orders, contracts, etc.
- Responsible for ordering of supplies/goods, equipment, raw material, reviewing, and processing/issuing of purchase orders.
- Must monitor capital purchases to ensure its compliance with company policies and procedures ensuring cost savings.
- Responsible for improvising on purchasing methods and processes.
- The Procurement-Supplier Manager will respond to inquiries from internal and external sources by providing information and directions.
- Must make site visits to contractor and vendor home offices as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The Procurement-Supplier Manager must hold a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Must have a minimum of 8 years of work experience in an engineering/ construction purchasing-related field.
- Must be proficient in purchasing policies, processes, and procedures.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- The Procurement-Supplier Manager must be willing to travel, as needed.
