The Community Engagement Officer will play a critical role in fostering relationships between the Louisiana Department of Health’s Office of Women’s Health and Community Health and the communities it serves. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage community members, stakeholders, and partners to promote health initiatives, improve health outcomes, and reduce health disparities. The Community Engagement Officer will also support outreach efforts, organize community events, and ensure that community voices are integral to the department’s programs and policies.Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies that align with the goals of the Office of Women’s Health and Community Health.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders.
  • Plan, coordinate, and attend community events, health fairs, and public forums to promote health initiatives and gather community input.
  • Conduct needs assessments and focus group discussions to understand community health concerns and priorities.
