They will teams create and maintain the web-based e-commerce software-as-a-service which is the foundation of Corptax’s market leadership. We are seeking an experienced technical leader-mentor-coach with a strong desire to lead global Agile teams (with Scrum), following test-driven and lean software development principles.Some of the things you’ll be doing:

  • Foster transparency and visibility, and radiate information-ensuring a team’s progress, obstacles, and successes are highly visible to all stakeholders, including the team itself
  • Helping the organization reap the benefits of Agile at scale
  • Be self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks
  • Organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, reviews, lessons learned, sprint and release planning, demos, and other Scrum-related meetings
  • Track and communicate team velocity and sprint-release progress
  • Ensuring the development teams practice the core Agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility
  • Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection, task definition
  • Assist as needed with backlog maintenance
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders
  • Gain and maintain a detailed understanding of business goals and platform capabilities
  • Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices
  • Create and maintain process documentation
  • Remove blockers to team progress and proactively help the team make improvements to avoid similar blockers in the future
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary
  • Support transformation initiatives during the planning and implementation phases
  • Use subject matter expertise of large-scale Agile transformations and frameworks to support the development of the overall transformation plan
  • Lead working groups to meet transformation deliverables such as identifying a standard set of project metrics, revising project templates, setting up communities of practice, and updating processes; work with the team to create a plan to meet deliverables, facilitate meetings, track progress and action items, take minutes, and update wikis
  • Track adoption of practices and processes
  • Support the development of a leadership engagement strategy as the roles of managers and executives change in the organization
  • Make recommendations regarding processes to adapt, change, or discard relating to project and portfolio management
  • Assist with the development of custom Agile training for Scrum teams, product owners, and Scrum masters
  • Aid in creating an internal coaching program that will identify and develop good potential Agile coaches for certification
  • Develops standards, processes, and controls for configuration and release activities
  • Establishes and facilitates release team meetings, coordinates issues, and facilitates solutions pertaining to the release process, and maintains release documentation
  • Log, track, and escalate high-priority project issues affecting the ability to deliver quality products according to plan

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?

  • An undergraduate degree in areas related to management information systems or business administration
  • CSM or CSP desired
  • At least five years of previous Agile or Scrum project management experience within a software development environment
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle, configuration, and change control management
  • Strong organizational and cross-team communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
