Job description: Global Financial Firm located in New York City, NY has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Technical Data/Business Analyst“This role is currently on a Hybrid Schedule.
You will need to have reliable internet, computer and android or iphone for remote access into the client systems during remote work.
We will be expected in the office weekly 2-3 days depending on the team requirement.****Video/ f2f interviews are required prior to all offers.Pay rate range: $ 58.00 – $ 68.00 Negotiable based upon years of experienceTechnical Data Analyst / Business AnalysisThe role will be part of a Markets Program Execution & Transformation Team responsible for ensuring the timely execution of technical data centric deliverables.The candidate must be an individual experienced in data and transformation efforts with a background in project management to provide subject matter expertise and deliver meaningful solutions that are functional and sustainable.Primary Responsibilities:
– Support the Senior Project Managers to drive the onboarding of critical datasets to a single strategic data lake
– Own the delivery of key project streams, ensuring actions and milestones are accurately tracked and reported.
– Work directly with Technology teams and Business stakeholders to support the design and review of strategic data models
– Take a hands-on approach to managing the end to end onboarding of datasets, working directly with SQL to sanity check implementations and to support both QA teams and the business during UAT
– Lead or participate in working groups, workshops and with stakeholders to understand business requirements, define project plans and manage timelines
– Identify challenges and proactively seek to resolve or escalate risk and issues in a timely and well-articulated manner to the projects by engaging relevant stakeholders and PMs
– Assist in producing accurate and insightful project update materials and artifacts, tailoring to various forums and committees
– Build strong relationships, adopting a joined up approach, to support the execution of programsKey Skills Required
– Working knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases
– Demonstrable experience of daily management and tracking of technical deliveries
– Self-starting with the ability to multitask, prioritize and proactively seek out teams and individuals across the organization to help resolve issues
– Demonstrated analytical skills with follow-up and problem solving capability
– Must be an energetic self starter/able to drive initiative with minimal direction
– Organized, detail oriented, and able to track multiple workstreams / projects at once
– 3 years minimum experienceEducation:
-Bachelor’s/University degree
